In May 2024, CASZIN chose Gianina-TS, a special representative of the adult industry, as Creator of the Month. She has been active as a performer since October 2023 and since then has had a lightning career with countless appearances at a wide variety of events and is currently broadcasting exclusively on cam at Livestrip. She is also very well booked for shoots, but she still found time to talk to CASZIN editor-in-chief Bernhard Bradatsch about her career, experiences in the industry and her private life.
Back in October 2023, Gianina-TS was the first trans person ever to win a netstars.tv award. Out of around 80 applicants, she was among the top ten at the important industry event in Berlin. This award ceremony and the Venus erotic fair that took place at the same time marked the start of Gianina’s career, so to speak.
Bernhard Bradatsch:
Gianina, I’m delighted that we can talk about you and your success as an erotic star today. You are a ‘dazzling figure’ in the best sense of the word and definitely bring colour and diversity to the industry. What made you decide to follow this path?
Gianina-TS:
Hello and thank you very much for the interview. Yes, I’ve always wanted to turn my hobby into a career. Even when I was younger, I found the whole topic of ‘eroticism’ very exciting. When I visited the erotic fair ‘Venus’ in Berlin a few years ago with my boyfriend at the time, who is now my fiancé, I knew that I was in good hands there. The attraction was enormous and I was thrilled by the variety of what was on offer in the erotic business. Last year I decided not to attend as a visitor but to have a small stand in the fan area. After a short period of ‘shyness’, I was inspired. A lot of visitors came to my stand and also fans who knew me as a camgirl (exclusive contract until 01 June 2024 with Lifestrip). I was busy signing autographs and had lots of good conversations that helped me get ahead in the industry. That was my starting signal, so to speak.
Bernhard Bradatsch:
Gender reassignment is not a decision to be taken lightly. I simply assume that the decision has matured over the years. Am I right about that?
Gianina-TS:
Yes, even as a small child in kindergarten I preferred to walk around like a girl. Later on, I knew exactly that I wanted to change my gender. When I had my breast operation three years ago, changed my name in the official documents and my gender was also stated as ‘female’, I knew that I had arrived. However, I keep my ‘little secret’ under my belt.
Bernhard Bradatsch:
As far as I know, you only became active in the erotic industry after your transition. Is there perhaps a connection, did this influence your relationship to sexuality?
Gianina-TS:
I’ve always not been a child of sadness and have been out and about in the gay scene (which I’m still connected to) and have also had small shows in Switzerland, my country of origin, such as in Zurich as Draq-Queen. However, yes, there is a connection. Because now I feel I’ve arrived and free and, above all, I’ve met my current fiancé who is 100% behind me in the transition and now in the eorik business and also supports me with advice.
Bernhard Bradatsch:
You are originally from Switzerland, but now live in the rather tranquil Black Forest. How did this decision come about?
Gianina-TS:
Yes exactly, I was born in Switzerland. My last place of residence was near St.Gallen. As my sweetheart was living in Germany, whom I met at a small Draq gig in Constance on Lake Constance, I decided to pull up stakes in Switzerland and move in with him in Tuttlingen. After a short time, we found a nice flat together with a garden, whirlpool and sauna, where we now feel very much at home and have a nice, quiet retreat in the countryside. Now in the Black Forest. My little Chihuahua loves it there too.
Bernhard Bradatsch:
You are on the road at an incredible number of formats and events. Whether it’s erotic fairs, casting events, TV formats such as Babestation or as a speaker at the CSD, to name just a few examples. Do you still have a private life with all these appointments?
Gianina-TS:
Yes, that’s right, I’m currently very well booked, which of course makes me happy. I haven’t been able to accept new appointment requests because I can’t and don’t want to dance at several weddings at the same time. I’m rarely at home at the moment, my fiancé organises all the appointments and office work. He’s got my back, so to speak. This year I’m focussing on my career in the erotic business, which he fully understands. However, we also make sure that we switch off together. A few short trips to the mountains for hiking and the Winterpride in Gran Canaria in November are a must, of course. I make time for that. Switching off is also important to recharge your batteries. CSD events are important to me. Unfortunately, I don’t have much time this year, but I will be attending the CSD in Karlsruhe on 1 June, for example, as I am very close to the LGBTTIQA community and it is important, especially in this day and age, to fly the flag against the ‘right’ and against homophobia and transphobia.
Bernhard Bradatsch:
Nevertheless, you still have a lot of filming dates. You shoot with both men and women. Do you have any particular preferences, any favourite scenes or settings for you?
Gianina-TS:
I am pansexual, so I don’t care about gender at all. I don’t really have any special preferences, as I’m very sexually open-minded and curious. A gang bang has its appeal, of course.
Bernhard Bradatsch:
I recently went to an Eronite casting myself, which Mario invited me to in Munich. You also filmed with men who didn’t know at the beginning that you were transsexual. Does this happen more often and how do the men react?
Gianina-TS:
Yes, it was very cool there. Mario is very nice and all my questions were answered beforehand. A great team, cool location and lots of horny men were at the start. A lot of emphasis was also placed on the health of all participants and that the ladies felt comfortable. Everything can, nothing must was the motto. Great organisation. That’s why I will be attending all 4 Eronite castings. A casting is also planned shortly before Venus in Berlin in October. Yes, right at the beginning of the casting in Munich I had a participant who wants to become a porn star. A very likeable young man with a lot of decency and great charisma. When we were really into it, he discovered my ‘little secret’. But he carried on like a pro and there were no fears of contact. In a personal conversation later, he told me that he was perplexed and would never have thought that I was biologically a man. This has happened to me before, but I thought it was really cool how I come across to men. It was a nice confirmation for me.
Bernhard Bradatsch:
Does your gender identity always play a central role for you or your filming partners on the dates or has this become a matter of course in the meantime?
Gianina-TS:
That is very different. Most producers, for example, are very curious and invite me once. This is usually followed by follow-up appointments and the feedback is very good, which has probably already got around. Of course I’m very pleased about that. Some book me because of my transsexuality as there are probably not as many in the industry as me. However, there are also producers who don’t want to have trans people for whatever reason. I respect this of course and always think to myself: no problem, opportunity lost for him. There have also been performers, especially in the amateur sector, who have never had an experience with a man or a trans person. They wouldn’t normally do this either, but they made an exception for me. In retrospect, they seem to have enjoyed it. The vast majority of the men I shoot with are straight or bisexual. The female actors usually have no problems with me, on the contrary.
Bernhard Bradatsch:
You have just finished your first calendar. That was certainly a special highlight. How or where will your fans be able to purchase the calendar?
Gianina-TS:
Yes, I recently had a shoot in Berlin with Micaela Schäfer for a calendar. It was a lot of fun and I’m very proud to have been able to work with her. But now I also have my first own calendar. It will be on sale around the beginning of June 2024 and will be available via my website: www.gianina-ts.online. Interested parties can also send me an email: ganina.maissen@web.de. As a bonus, I’ll also include an autograph for free. I will have the calendar as well as other articles of mine with me at erotic fairs such as Venus or at the end of September in Innsbruck (Austria). Of course I will also be at the erotic fairs in Belgium and at Extasia in Switzerland in December (where I will be doing live shows together with the PussyKat team).
Bernhard Bradatsch:
Gianina, thank you very much for the interview and I am delighted to have you as ‘Creator of the Month’ at CASZIN!
Gianina-TS:
I have to thank you.
