The TES Affiliate Conference celebrated its 15th anniversary in Prague. Over all this time, the success curve has been steadily rising. This time, almost 2000 participants gathered in the Czech capital, around 200 more than last year. This meant that the event hotel was well booked, and the organizers even had to turn down further booking requests from exhibitors in advance due to lack of space.

The changes in the market are clearly reflected at TES. As the name of the event suggests, the focus of the event has always been on affiliates. This sector of the industry continues to play a central role. Nevertheless, new fields and technologies are increasingly coming to the fore. Fansites, artificial intelligence and virtual reality are just a few examples. This was also clearly reflected in the topics of the high-caliber presentations and panels, which were well attended and represent an important opportunity for many participants to expand their specialist knowledge and make contacts at the same time. Of course, the topics were much more wide-ranging, with SEO, crypto and traffic being just a few examples.

An important element this time was once again the Meetmarket, a kind of speed dating for business. For two and a half hours on the first day of the trade fair, things really got down to business. In the very well-filled hall, areas of interest were quickly explored and contacts made, which could then be deepened as the trade fair progressed. Once again, this type of business initiation proved its worth; even newcomers and beginners have the chance to quickly get to know new potential business partners here.

The lounge and the individual exhibition stands were then more comfortable. In the usual relaxed atmosphere, contacts could be expanded and products and services explained at leisure. Of course, many participants already knew each other, some of them for a long time. Fortunately, however, more and more new faces can be seen at the event. This is also injecting momentum into the market, which is hardly more dependent than any other on communication with each other and the associated innovation.

As always, the participants’ physical well-being was well catered for. In addition to the lunches, there were always special stands with ice cream or, as here, Czech specialties, the typical bratwurst. The offer was gladly taken up in order to fortify oneself between the talks. The hotel staff always provided professional service and ensured that everything ran smoothly.

Entertainment also livened up the event, as seen here at a somewhat early Oktoberfest. There were also numerous invitations from sponsors on the fringes of the event. Unfortunately, the planned boat trip on the Vltava had to be canceled due to the current flooding. All other items on the program went according to plan, including the numerous evening events and parties, where it was possible to hold talks in a particularly informal atmosphere.

After the TES is before the TES

The location and date of the next TES have already been confirmed. It will take place in Seville from March 9 to 12. The hotel chosen there will be the home of the event for the first time and offers particularly spacious facilities. This should also enable the event to continue its steady growth.
