From September 21 to 23, the affiliate and creator industry will gather in Bucharest for AWSummit. The organizer has announced an extensive program for the 13th edition – although when it comes to the event’s own size, it apparently prefers to aim rather high.
Bucharest will be at the center of the international affiliate and creator scene in the coming days. From September 21 to 23, 2026, the 13th edition of AWSummit will take place at the Face Convention Center. The program includes networking, Meet Markets, presentations, workshops and various evening events. In terms of content, the event is not exclusively aimed at the adult industry, but covers areas including affiliate marketing, nutra, iGaming, e-commerce, dating, payments and creator-related topics. Adult, live cams and fan sites are also explicitly listed among the event’s verticals. (awsummit.com)
The organizer itself is not exactly holding back when it comes to superlatives. On the AWSummit website, the event is described as the “Leading Conference for Affiliates and Creators”, while the Bucharest edition is even referred to as the “largest European conference.” The current press release also speaks of regularly attracting more than 3,000 attendees. Inflated Attendance Figures
The messaging is not entirely consistent, however. While the press release and FAQ promote the event with “over 3000 attendees” and more than 3,000 expected participants respectively, the actual event page currently lists only “2000+ Attendees.” At the same time, another section states that the venue is capable of accommodating more than 3,000 international participants.
For comparison, the TES Affiliate Conference in Prague, which is also taking place in September, is completely sold out at exactly 1,700 attendees. TES has been operating since 2009 and is therefore considerably more established; industry reports and participating companies regularly describe TES as the genuinely important international meeting point for the affiliate industry. In addition, the largest TES to date is scheduled to take place in Seville next spring.
Three Days of Networking and Business

AWSummit gets underway on Monday, September 21, with arrivals and various networking opportunities. The schedule includes registration, welcome drinks and additional meet-ups for attendees. The day will conclude with the traditional Romanian dinner.
The actual conference program begins on Tuesday. A Meet Market is intended to bring affiliates, advertisers, networks and other industry participants together. This will be complemented by seminars and presentations. Topics on the agenda include SEO in the Age of AI Overviews and New Forms of Online Visibility, as well as presentations on successful affiliate business models.
The concept largely follows the now-established format of international affiliate conferences: presentations and business meetings during the day, accompanied by Meet Markets and networking, followed by dinners, drinks and parties in the evening.
Adult Is Only One Part of the Mix
AWSummit is nevertheless relevant to the adult industry because adult and related business models are explicitly part of the event’s scope. The official website lists dating, fan sites and live cams, alongside the more traditional affiliate verticals.
This multi-vertical approach is one of the features that distinguishes AWSummit from events that focus much more heavily on a single market.
For companies in the online adult sector, this can certainly be interesting, particularly when topics such as traffic, payments, affiliate technology or creator business models are featured alongside traditional adult offers.
Confidence Is Apparently Part of the Concept
AWSummit has been active since 2014 and claims on its website that more than 20,000 professionals have attended its various events over the years. For the current Bucharest edition, the organizer is promising an international mix of affiliates, webmasters, creators, advertisers, monetization platforms and traffic providers.
One thing is certain: AWSummit Bucharest is set to be an interesting industry gathering. Whether the event actually occupies the leading position claimed by its organizer is another question. The European conference calendar is simply too crowded for that – and established events such as TES provide competition with a considerably greater international reach.
For attendees, it will probably matter less in the end whether 2,000 or even 3,000 people actually pass through the convention center. More interesting will be who is actually there, which companies are represented, and what business and contacts result from the event. Those questions can be assessed far more reliably after the event than on the basis of the grand claims made in advance.
