More than 1500 participants attended this year’s TES Affiliate Conference in Cascais near Lisbon at the end of February. The event once again brought together an industry in a relaxed and productive environment. Despite all the routine, the event was once again able to offer something new:
“The TES in Cascais surprised me personally in a very positive way. After 15 years, we finally seem to have succeeded in forming a real “TES community”, a real “TES family”, rather than just bringing business people together. This came as a surprise after 15 years, but it’s a result I’m personally very proud of.”
Andreas Bischoff told CASZIN after the event
The various tried-and-tested elements of the event were also crucial to its success. The Meetmarket was a hotbed of activity, with each exhibitor able to present their offerings in a condensed form and intensify their presence with often very creative giveaways that were memorable. The Meetmarket therefore fulfilled its role as an “icebreaker” for making initial contacts, with the more intensive discussions then taking place in the exhibition area.
In the very spacious area of the exclusive event hotel, the discussion participants came together in cosy seating groups. This created the perfect atmosphere for intensive discussions that could be used for future projects. The exhibitors’ lounges invited the dialogue partners to linger and offered the ideal opportunity to present their own products and services in a pleasant atmosphere.
Numerous presentations on the top topics in the industry
A classic highlight of the event is always the presentations and panels, which feature high-calibre speakers. This is where real knowledge transfer takes place. Many participants take away new insights and implement them directly in their own projects. At the same time, they offer the opportunity to make direct contact and initiate co-operations with the experts.
The panels alone, with several discussion partners on topics such as dating or onlyfans, attracted numerous interested parties. The topics of the presentations themselves were as exciting as they were high-calibre. A few examples: Blackhat SEO, AI in email and online marketing, fundraising in the adult industry or effective fan acquisition at Onlyfans and other fan portals. Many legal topics were also discussed, such as EU taxes in digital business, special requirements for an age verification system in times of AI or the “Ofcom” introduced in the UK. This is just a small selection from the extensive programme of presentations with over 80 speakers.
There was also always plenty of food and drink on offer. There was not only coffee and cake, but also tapas in a wide variety of flavours as well as delicious lunches for all tastes.
Anyone who wanted to could get a variety of drinks at the bar during the sponsored times and have fun at the parties in the evening.
For the particularly ambitious, there was sporting activity afterwards to balance things out: On the morning of the second day of the event, there was a two-hour hike along the beach, through the beautiful countryside and past a historic fort. So anyone who was ready to go at 8 a.m. after all the partying could do something for their fitness.
Conclusion
Once again, the organisers Walter and Andreas succeeded in bringing an industry together as a real community. You could really see how the participants inspired each other and everyone took home a bag full of new ideas. The various elements of the show proved their worth. The more than 80 speakers willingly passed on their concentrated knowledge to the others – without a doubt a highlight that alone made participation worthwhile.
