Various media are currently reporting that Onlyfans is allegedly up for sale. However, it is unclear what the truth of the speculation is. Depending on the source, the sale price alone varies between six and eight billion dollars. Speculation is running rampant and Only Fans could benefit from this – after all, any mention in the major media should attract attention.

‘Bild’ even claims to know the name of a possible investor. The catch: according to ‘Bild’, the current potential investor’s assets amount to ‘only’ 180 million dollars.

However, the operating company Fenix Ltd. and its owner Leonid Radvinsky have not yet officially confirmed their intention to sell. Of course, this does not necessarily mean anything, as such negotiations always take place behind closed doors.

What would it mean for the Creator?

The most interesting question is what the consequences of an actual sale would be. After all, Only Fans generates the majority of its revenue from adult content. A potential new owner would therefore be ill-advised to change much in the way of orientation. However, there have been plenty of rumours about this in recent years, including in connection with payment service providers.

There are currently creators who switch to other fan platforms anyway, because they are presented there in streams and feeds and therefore have a good chance of earning good money without their own traffic.
