There were many photo shoots at VENUS, but one at the VPS stand had a very special background: the Happy Weekend Club demonstrates how social media and print can complement each other perfectly so that all sides benefit. There had been quite a few rumours in the run-up to the event, which ultimately proved to be true:

‘We are launching a long-term networking campaign between social media and print, between the Happy Weekend Club, Happy Weekend magazine and the models’ networks. This plan will be accompanied by monthly double-page advertisements with changing motifs, and the models will also have their say in each issue. In the end, everyone will benefit.’
Andreas Kirchen, CEO VPS

High-profile participation in the shoot

There was no shortage of interested parties for the shoot, even though the exact purpose had not yet been announced at the beginning. Andreas Kirchen: ‘The pictures taken by photographer michanandre turned out great. At the time, we didn’t have a clear idea about the structural evaluation, but all the models participated anyway.’ The list of participants reads almost like a who’s who:

Among others, Mara LeNoir, Jenny Stella, BlueMel, Mia Minou, Micky Muffin, Cruel Reell, Mary Licious, Sydney Schmid, Kathy Deep, Devils Akita and Venus ambassador Inked Lorena were also present.

‘First of all, it’s a great idea with the T-shirts, and if Andreas Kirchen organises it, it’s going to be a cool thing,’ said Jenny Stella, delighted about the shoot.

Then the details of the new project were announced, which aims to bridge the gap between the different types of media in a way that is beneficial for everyone: ‘We are launching a long-term networking campaign between social media and print, between the Happy Weekend Club, Happy Weekend magazine and the models’ networks,’ reveals Andreas Kirchen. ‘This plan will be accompanied by monthly double-page advertisements with changing motifs, and the models will also have their say in each issue. In the end, everyone will benefit.’

The whole thing will then happen again in October 2026, when all the Happy Weekend cover girls from the next ten print editions will be invited to the new Happy Weekend Club shoot and the campaign will start again. Andreas Kirchen is keeping his cards close to his chest when it comes to how we will feature the models over the next ten months: ‘We don’t want to give everything away just yet,’ explains Andreas Kirchen.
